Artist Statement: “The irony is not lost on me that the founding fathers of this nation did not have me, a black woman, in mind when speaking of liberty and freedom. However, it has always been the will of the people, and the steadfast belief that change was possible, that moved this country into a more inclusive union. So here we are today, fighting once again to regain hard fought liberties against those who seek to rob us of the rights over our own bodies and more. But united we are strong, and in the end, I truly believe freedom will prevail.”
A portion of the sales for this edition will be donated to Pregnancy Justice, an organization that defends the civil and human rights of pregnant people.
